HIGHLIGHTS

BURS along with other Research Societies of Bangladesh at International Youth Research Camp 2025
A 19-member youth delegation from the Bangladesh Research Society, in collaboration with Dhaka University Research Society, is proudly representing Bangladesh at the International Youth Research Camp 2025 in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal. Held from May 22–28, the camp brings together young researchers from top institutions like DU, BUET, KU, IU and University of Barishal for interdisciplinary workshops, cultural exchange and collaborative research activities. The program aims to strengthen academic ties, enhance research skills and foster regional collaboration among South Asian youth.
BURS Hosts First-Ever Research Confluence at University of Barishal
Barishal University Research Society (BURS) successfully organized the 1st Research Confluence–2025 at Kirtankhola Hall, marking a major milestone in promoting research culture at the university. With dynamic participation from Barishal and other universities, the day-long event featured a Research Proposal Contest, Quiz, and Discussion Session. Winners from both Science and Social Science faculties presented innovative research ideas. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Taufiq Alam graced the event as Chief Guest, highlighting the role of research in academic excellence.
Interdisciplinary Idea Contest-2025
BURS successful complet the Interdisciplinary Idea Contest: “Bangladesh 2.0” held October 26, 2024 at Jibanananda Das Conference Hall, University of Barishal. Six dynamic teams showcased innovative, interdisciplinary solutions for national progress, with Team Next-gen Entrepreneurs crowned Champion.
